Project Description

In May 2007 Tectonica Management Inc. relocated from previous accommodations at 155 Skinner Street to their new office spaces located at 201 – 890 Crace Street which is just at the southern edge of the Nanaimo Downtown Core.

The project included the demolition of an existing thrift store use and the construction of an open plan office environment complete with a board room and a workshop/fabrication area.



Services Provided

In the capacity of project manager Tectonica Managment Inc. managed the design and construction documentation processes, undertook all design stage cost estimating, and coordinated the Owners, and Municipal approvals.

Tectonica Managment Inc. was also responsible for the tendering of all of the projects sub trade contracts and for the construction contract administration duties associated with these contracts.

As the construction manager Tectonica Managment Inc. was responsible for the day to day management of the construction site, the development and implementation of the construction site safety policy and procedures, construction scheduling, material procurement, and ensuring a general conformance to the construction documents prepared by the design consultants.

As the design consultant Bil Derby AT.AIBC, one of the four partners in Tectonica Management Inc., provided the interior design expertise and completed the required construction documents, materials selection, fixture selection and specifications for the project.
