Career Abstract

Darren has been working as a structural design consultant since 1999. He has designed a multitude of projects ranging from single family & multi-story residential, commercial, and light industrial to large condo conversions, institutional, heavy industrial, ski lodges and libraries. His portfolio includes buildings of all major construction materials including steel, concrete, masonry and timber.

It is the unusual and unexpected that draws Darren to the construction industry. He has been involved in many complex projects where continual coordination of all different building systems is crucial to keeping a project running smoothly. He always works to find economical and efficient solutions to the inevitable surprises during construction.

His experience as a Structural Engineer has provided the opportunity to explore a wide variety of projects built under many different construction models. A project’s success is almost always dictated by the people involved. A carefully chosen construction team will result in a more enjoyable construction experience and a higher quality finished product.
